The Veteran Connect Project finds its purpose in Outreach and Assisting Unsheltered Veterans into Stable Housing.
The Veteran Connect Project is a community initiative that focuses on Homeless Veteran Outreach in several cities within the state of South Carolina. Inspire Real Change staff are engaging Homeless Veterans and Veterans at-risk of homelessness in the community, conducting needs assessments, and developing case plans for homelessness recovery. Additionally, Inspire Real Change staff are helping Veterans navigate local services, supporting basic needs, and coordinating housing referrals.

Through our 2023/2024 Veteran Connect Project, 6 Veterans were housed, 14 moved into transitional shelter, 9 connected to medical services, 2 provided rental assistance, 4 connected to employment.
Inspire Real Change and 9Round Lexington partnered for the "Join The Fight" event. Participants preregister online with a $9 event donation. 100% of donations go towards programs to reduce and end homelessness.
On 19 April 2023, registered participants workout rounds were counted and totaled by 9Round Lexington Trainers. A donor matched one dollar per round for the total number of rounds completed that day. Donations go towards homeless resources and programs to reduce and end homelessness.
20 Fighters Completed 240 Rounds and Raised a Total of $470.00! All proceeds from the event supported Inspire Real Change programs and projects to reduce and end homelessness in South Carolina.
The City of Columbia Task Force to Prevent and End Homelessness partnered with Inspire Real Change in April 2022 to develop and drive solutions to reduce and end homelessness in Columbia, South Carolina. With this partnership, the Social Services Advancement Project (SSAP-001) was created to identify current programs/services, assess Social Service community integration, and initiate efficiencies/solutions to reduce homelessness.
The Community Connections Project engaged 52 unsheltered citizens in Richland County, South Carolina. Our community outreach team engage unsheltered individuals, provided health/hygiene items, and conducted on-site needs assessments. Utilizing information from the assessment, the individual's needs were prioritized to produce person-centered plans. Unsheltered citizens were directly connected with health programs/housing services to fill their needs and end homelessness.
The Veteran Connect Project finds its purpose in connecting Unsheltered Veterans with programs, services, and resources. The overall goal is to engage Veterans, assess their needs, and connect them with services to fill individual needs. We believe Real Change is found in filling needs, which drives the recovery process. We are dedicated to engaging and supporting homeless Veterans.

Thank You 9Round Lexington and Members for Partnering with the Veteran Connect Project! Your Generosity is Making a Difference and Driving Real Change in our Communities! We distributed health and wellness bags during our Homeless Veteran outreach efforts, as we connect Veterans with resources/services to promote homeless recovery.
Through our Veteran Connect Project outreach efforts in Columbia, SC, we connected three Veterans with a VA Housing Program, connected four Veterans with Transitional Shelter, and connected five Veterans with medical services. Utilizing a Quality Needs Assessment and Strength-Based Approach, we were able to connect Veterans to program/services. Thank You from the entire Inspire Real Change Team and Partners, as we continue the Fight to Reduce and End Homelessness.
